In 2019 I was a husk of a human.
I didn’t have feelings. I was just existing. I hadn’t made any real work in years. I had no confidence in myself or my art. My time at Grays has been the best time of my life.
Today I cry and laugh and feel everything. I’m powerful and proud of myself for what I have achieved and all of it is thanks to Gra

Over the years I have come to realise how much of a feminist artist I actually am. I’ve made work on body positivity, abortion laws, body shaming and how the patriarchy controls too many aspects of our lives and identities. My dissertation is titled ‘Patriarchy, Feminism, Identity and Barbie’ and all my research related to my artwork. Our history is relevant and important and combining that with art felt right for me. I am proud to make these statements through my art. And hope to continue doing so and encouraging others to do the same. I enjoy running workshops giving people the freedom to create without judgement. Art can be whatever you want it to be. For me I have aspects of fun, engagement and making the audience think and question the world around them.
